Sunrise
I did photograph the sunrise this morning but unlike fellow Blippers who were out walking, I took the photo from my bedroom window at 8.30am.
It’s a beautiful sunny day but the paths are all still very icy so after lunch I took the long way down to the village by road to get a couple of condolence cards. Sheila in the shop raised her eyebrows as it was only recently I was in buying the same for another family.
Ella got her braces yesterday and Nathaniel was inducted into scouts. He didn’t take the Buddhist promise this time - he joined as an atheist. Ella got her Mum’s old phone for Christmas as she was the only one in her friendship group without one that could be used for messages. She was missing out on invites as everything had to be done through her mum who has enough to do. However her mum has put a time limit on it that kicks her off if she’s on it too long. There’s also a parental control so hopefully she’ll be ok. She’ll be 13 next month. When she was little she asked how old I’d been when I got a phone. When I said 58 she asked if she could have one when she was 58. Those innocent days are gone.
Lynne is getting out of hospital tomorrow, 6 days after her big op. I bet she’s happy to get into her own bed after over 3 weeks in hospital.
