Not Sanday (Day 3529)

I was woken earlier than I wanted by the sound of Sigyn stumbling down the stairs. Since it was half an hour until my alarm was due to go off I decided I might as well get dressed and find out what she was up to. She must have been spooked by a noise and I found her curled up on the couch, snoring.
I got myself organised and headed off to get the boat to Sanday. We left the pier just before 740. Around an hour later I got a message saying that the sailing from Kirkwall to Sanday at 1540 had been cancelled. I assumed that would mean my return journey was also cancelled, and phoned the ferry company to check. They confirmed it was cancelled. When I spoke to the ferry crew they said it wouldn't be a problem for me to stay on the boat and head back to Kirkwall. At 1215, having done nothing all day, I arrived back in Kirkwall. A waste of time, but better than being stuck in Sanday overnight.
Back home I had lunch then took Sigyn out for a wet, windy wander while my beautiful wife visited the horses.
The rest of the afternoon was spent on the couch, snoozing.
