First Quarter
I've spent a lot of time looking up into the winter sky wondering but with little knowledge.. I'm hoping this year to spend some more time and gain some knowledge. One thing I like about photography, I take a shot of something and then scratch around on the web to find out about it.
Looking out of my front door I can clearly see Jupiter and Mars tonight.
My blip is the first quarter moon, her "seas" (Lava fields) clearly evident. and the mountain range top centre is the Apennine range, highest peak over 17000ft.
Back on earth close by we have the Pennine Range, Cross Fell the highest at 2900ft. Slightly more achievable.
