3 a.m.

Woke for reasons those around my age may understand, but which I won't elaborate on,  and couldn't help but notice the dramatic sky.  I turned my camera to Night Vision and took several shots.  What looks like the ocean is actually thick fog covering Nanaimo and the offshore islands.  The bright band at the top of the fog bank? I have no idea.  
The sunrise was beautiful with bands of cloud.   There is beauty to be had for the fitful sleepers.
