Monk Bar
I had some shopping to do in York today. As my home town I always enjoy a wander through the historic centre.
Was on the search for a part to raise Richard’s chair to make it easier to get up from. The place where we bought it had brought in a £60 delivery charge for all items irrespective of size or cost which even the salesman suggested was too much. He rang another store who was more expensive but without the delivery charge. However I called in at a traditional store I’ve known since a child in the centre of York and was surprised by the price quoted. A fraction of the cost quoted at the two other stores. They would deliver it free of charge too.
On a roll popped into Marks and Spencer and got a wind proof running jacket in the sale.
Matthew popped in on his way home from work. Much easier than when he worked in Bingley. Good to have some company whilst I cooked tea.
