Somewhat sinister
The alliums continue to be the main attraction in our garden for the flying insects and today was no exception. They were covered in three type of bees plus hover flies, other types of fly and the dreaded wasps (well it is almost August).
As I did a blip of a bumble bee yesterday I ignored them, even though they were the biggest group on the alliums. I took a few shots of a hover fly and a honey bee, but mostly concentrated on the wasps.
In the end I chose this one as I liked the light in it as well as the somewhat sinister look of the wasp, although I think wasps are just sinister all the time really.
Some lovely detail of the wasp when looked at large.
