Today I was very naughty!!!!
If you read our BLIPs regularly you will know that my project for 2025 is to walk 100 of the 'I walk Cornwall'' walks. Mmmmmm.................. When Ann set me this little project, she thought.............. it's only 2 walks a week, we can do that easily.
We're only on week 2 and it's a struggle. Ann works at least 4 days a week, she's had a friend to stay for the last few days, she needs to do stuff like cleaning the house and washing and shopping................ and she thinks she can do 100 'I Walk Cornwall' walks in a year??!!
..........My human is deluded!!!....................
Anyway, today she came home from work at 2.45pm and said, 'Trixie, we'll do the 'St Ives Walk'. It's only 4.3 miles long, so we can definitely do that before it gets dark. …............Famous last words.........................
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm................... Ann didn't factor in how naughty I was going to be. And believe me, when I say I was very naughty today.
Ann's friend's Collie has just had puppies and she's threatening to trade me in for a younger model!!!
The walk started off fine, but once we had to walk up the lane from the coastal path it was like I'd turned into a 'devil Collie'. The lane was full of prickly bushes that went straight into the fields. And we all know what lives in fields and prickly bushes............. Bunnies. Yay!! We were walking at dusk and that's when all the bunnies come out. OMG!!! I was soooooo naughty. I crawled underneath a gate and went into a field and then I went off chasing. Ann didn't have a clue where I was. She was calling calling me but I was on a mission chasing bunnies so I just ignored her. Eventually after 2 mins I came back, and because Ann thought I'd learnt my lesson, she didn't put me on my lead but unfortunately I did the same thing only minutes later.
You wouldn't believe how angry Ann is with me tonight?!! You wouldn't believe how tired I am tonight. You wouldn't believe how stinky I am. You wouldn't believe how much mud we had to walk through this afternoon.
The 'I Walk Cornwall' app told us the walk was 4.3 miles long. We walked 5.67 miles............ probably, because I deviated off the route chasing bunnies.
Totally, utterly and completely exhausted now. See extras.
