It's a wrap...
Alan's support team's kitchen is finished at last! Well the walls and woodwork have still to be painted, just need to decide on a colour for the walls. Thoughts welcome :-)
The day got off to a very dodgy start when the Tesco delivery driver turned up just after 8.00am with three cartons of semi-skimmed milk and a carton of skimmed milk. Turns out I got so engrossed in Traitors last night that when I finished updating my order, I forgot to checkout, so they only delivered the items I'd put in the basket to secure the delivery slot. The milk cost £5.55 and it cost £6.50 to deliver. What an eejit I am! David and the driver had a right hoot apparently!
Thankfully there was no problem with our sofa delivery. Two sofas, chair and footstools delivered just before 10am. Absolutely over the moon with them. So comfortable and fit the space perfectly. Phew!
Alan had an appointment with the Gastro nurse at Ninewells so he, D and Jordan headed off just after 11am. I pottered about doing nothing of note till 2pm when I finally sat in my new chair and got some crochet done. Absolute bliss.
D, Alan and Jordan returned (after a detour via Tesco) and D got the chance to sit down for a while. He is also very happy with our new purchases :-)
Nick, the kitchen fitter, appeared just before 5pm to say he was finished at last. We went through to admire his handiwork. We are so happy with the kitchen and can't wait for the rest of Alan's team to see it. They will know such a difference from their little kitchen in a cupboard (see extras for the before shot :-)
Christine was here this evening and she and I had great fun getting all the new crockery and bits and bobs into the kitchen. No doubt the team will rearrange things to suit themselves but it made me happy :-)
Homemade beef chilli and nachos for dinner then another episode of The Traitors. This year's lot really are dense!
