Urca and Botafogo

Back blip

Both worked in the morning.

Then, despite the overcast day, we decided to go to Urca for a walk along the front and lunch. We were also curious to see the house there, which is featured in the new Brazilian film, ‘I’m already here ‘/Ainda estou aquí’. There was a pic of it on the front cover of O Globo newspaper today, and we thought we’d seen it before, but wanted to be sure. Yes, that was it!

Nice relaxed salad lunch in Garota do Urca and we then decided to try and see if we could see the film in the nearest cinema in Botafogo. No luck, but bought tickets for tomorrow! Decided to stay in that area, we then popped into the amazing bookshop, Livraria da Travessa, just along the road - my main blip, as well as a couple of extras. Another extra is a collage of a few shots in Urca.

We had a few nibbles in a street bar restaurant near the bookshop, opposite Mundial supermarket. Bustling atmosphere and lots to see, but quite relaxed.
