Cinema and Botafogo

Both worked till mid afternoon, then to Botafogo to see the film, ‘Ainda estou aquí’/‘I’m still here'. Absolutely well worth trying to see it if you can. It’s about the Brazilian dictatorship in the 1970s and the impact of that on a well-off Carioca family, living in Urca (area of Rio) during those years.

The cinema was a great wee place, very arty and retro, and we left with a handful of CDs of Brazilian  music…..not that we need any more!

Food in the same place as last night, along from the cinema and opposite Mundial. Isca do peixe - remembered our dear friend Helen, who loved these when we spent a month with her in Belem (work for me and Helen).
