Chillsome!

On the village whatsapp this morning someone posted that it was the coldest night so far this winter.. they live a little higher up the hill than us and it was -6.5C with them.. here it looks like it went down to -10C overnight.. and by the time I took this at 10.30am it was still -6.5C!!  Heating on and work indoors today.. drawing and cleaning and storing away the Christmas decs the order of the day. Apparently the Meadows have frozen over in Oxford and my daughter wants to borrow my old skates. I have dug them out from the depths of the attic and other than finding some coriander seed (looks like that) in them they are in reasonable condition.. not that they would fit me any more. 
We are going to see her in the morning so will take them over then. 
Glad it is friday and happy we had another sunny clear day .. I felt the apricity (gentle warmth from the winter sun) while drinking my coffee this morning. 
We heard that a choir member had died and that it was his funeral today.. very sad, he was a real character with a great sense of fun. He wore a beret and played the trombone brilliantly as well as the piano.. and he posed for my portrait class several years ago.. (extra)
