I didn't finish my chair yoga session this morning - I suddenly ran out of time. We had an important meeting - with a prospective new dog sitter. We have relied on Derek for years, but he’s so popular, he’s booked up months ahead. We’ve relied on friends too, but can’t impose on them too much…
We met the new (to us) dog sitter who works from home, has an enclosed garden and is quite handy. Though she lives in a huge 'double upper’ ie not the ground floor flat, which is not very handy if he needs out at night… She met him, took copious notes of all his (copious) wee quirks - mainly his (electronic) noise aversions - admired his wee tricks, and is keen to have him for a couple of nights quite soon. And if it’s successful, we'll make good use of her in the summer. Which is just as well, as we have our eyes on the most fabulous holiday to a long time favourite destination…
Archie and I took the bus round there, while JR walked from her gym session and met us. It was quite a long walk home, so I got a bus part way, while the other two enjoyed the walk. Later, they went out for another walk to the Post Office to return shoes that aren’t comfy enough.
Just caught an excellent gardening programme. I don't usually watch them, but this was Monty Don visiting fabulous gardens in Scotland. Including Birkhall, King Charles' favourite hideout. It would be mine too!
