Survey

Apparently, this vessel has been around for 5 years but this is the first time I  have knowingly seen it.  Its speed (18.6 knots) drew my attention and the camera revealed the word 'Survey' on the side.

I just had to ask Google for more information.
It is owned by the Forth Ports Authority and is called 'Forth King'.  It carries out bathymetric surveys within the Firths of Forth and Tay, monitoring depths of shipping channels and ports and arranging dredging where required.
