Different

We went to Brett’s home today so Jerry could help him with a plumbing problem. It made me think about the differences in my two sons. Brett is a great cook and a computer person. He works with internet security and compliance for the state of SC. He does not do well with home maintenance and house cleaning ( I failed here or he is just lazy). Or car issues. Or yard work. Sigh.

Tate is a master at house repairs, remodels and anything associated with them as he worked as a house builder and now he is a house plan draftsman for a major US company. He also plays many musical instruments. He loves to do yard work. His cleaning is easy as he is a minimalist since his divorce. His best cooking skill is baking frozen pizza and chicken pot pies or making sandwiches. He will cook eggs for breakfast but mostly that is cereal.

I hope one day they find good women to share their life.

They are good guys.

The camellias are from Brett’s yard. They were there when he bought his house. He never does anything to them. So many buds on all the bushes. The buds I have in the photo are the red striped “peppermint” variety. He is supposed to let me know when they open.

They got the sink drain cleaned out and new pipes installed. He helped his dad so maybe he learned something.
