Watching

While we watched.  The hawk, which is think is a broad winged hawk, flew into the yard and caught something on the ground. Maybe a lizard or a small bird.  See the extra.

Then it flew up on the corn feeder and watched for over five minutes.

Then it swooped down to the ground again but I could not see what it had seen.  It had something.   It flew up in a tree where I could not get a photo while it enjoyed whatever it was.

I thought it was going to fly away but it just flew over to another tree where I could get another photo.   In the extras.  

A good day for bird watching as we hardly ever see this one so close to the house.
