I was up early to get ordered tyres put on the truck. This place is across the road and occupying a spot that used to be a great charcuterie deli before Covid. Their stated life’s priorities are interesting.

Pumla’s memorial service was next. What an amazing woman. She completed her primary education at the age of 7 and senior education at 11. She was first a radiographer, heading up a department, before going back to school to study law, and became a magistrate. A formidable woman but one that was loved and admired by so many, including us. So many lovely tributes, and great stories shared. Even her grandchildren spoke or sang in her honour.

Bookclub next then home to take the pooches out before enjoying a pasta supper and an old movie on TV.
