Frosty ................
.............. feeder in the back garden.
In my second extra of the year ........ the copse over the fence - planted a number of years ago by the local farmer - looking resplendent with its icy trees.
My phone says minus 4C (feeling more like minus 7C) but I wandered in the garden in just a t-shirt (and, obviously, trousers) and it didn't feel THAT cold. Mind you, there's not a breath of wind.
A heatwave (!!!) of 10C is forecast for next week ..... we shall see what we shall see.
In nosy neighbourly news (lol) - read here for context ...... the "cat people" next door have already had Ocado delivering this morning and the energy suppliers, Octopus, were at Beryl's, across the road, yesterday - her husband has just bought a new electric Ford Capri (nothing like the lovely Capri of the 70s) and I suspect they were having a charging point put in the garage.
I haven't seen another across-the-road-neighbour, Trevor, since before Christmas - he's in his 80s but often to be seen walking up the road and dropping off a few of the free newspapers to selected neighbours (we are one of those) so, rather than go and knock on his door, I shall message Beryl who lives next door to him and make enquiries - I hope he is okay.
That's it, folks.
