Today's Outing

We took our snowshoes down to Åm Lake and set off from the backroad corner where there is room to park a car.
We had a good long walk, following snowmobile tracks across the lake, mostly in the sun until we were almost back at the car. In the main picture we had turned homeward, walking into the sun. It felt very comfortable.
When we were nearly back at the car we split up. Jan continued to the car and drove home. I turned off and snowshoed home across the fields, and through the trees left after the great felling in the spring. The extra shows a small figure, just below centre, which is me, heading up from the lake. The snow is very light and very deep, which means even the snowshoes sink in a long way, and the trip is hard work! However, there is now the start of a track down to the lake....
