Old school

Tim and I treated ourselves to a drone with the Christmas money we got from our mums. He was rightly resistant to putting the (DJI Fly) app on either of our phones though, as it's not on the Play Store, and you have to side load it. Cue faffing around with a tablet (wouldn't work because you need WiFi and mobile data at the same time - one to connect to the drone and one to activate it on their systems) and then a couple of old phones. This is my old Samsung from quite a few years ago. I did a factory reset on it and had a flash of nostalgia for the old Android robot. This one didn't work for the app either though - just too old - but my more recent one did. Once we finally got the drone up and running, we were delighted to find it is pleasingly excellent! Only had a quick test flight in the garden, but very impressed with it so far

Nice relaxing day. Didn't do much else, other than kill zombies on the Xbox, and give my mum a call.
