Today’s Treasure…….

My daughter had not long arrived here from Wellington early this afternoon when she heard some high-pitched squealing noises in part of the garden. She investigated and found this tiny hedgehog curled up on some concrete. Such a sweet, dinky little baby. I held it in a gloved hand. So tiny. We figured it had scuttled under a fence and its mother would not have been able to follow due to the gap being too narrow. I very gently placed it under some shrubs on the other side of the fence. When I checked a short time later it had disappeared. Hopefully it has been reunited with its anxious mother.
