My Happy Place….

Well…. We made it. I had been preparing for our annual holiday in Kaiteriteri for several weeks. Margaret has come over from Wellington. She left Blenheim before lunch with her vehicle packed to the gunnels. She gets there hours before me to settle into the caravan we have rented. I didn’t get away until after 4.pm. House-sitters Susan and Graeme are keeping my pets and the property safe and secure which is very comforting for us.
The weather is dull with low cloud and a hint of drizzle. I have never before seen campers dressed in really warm clothing including Puffer jackets. Words fail me. Where is our summer? We hope for many golden days while we are here.
