Thriving

I was struggling to find a blip for today, and then noticed a single flower had opened on one of my indoor plants: Kohleria Jardin de Monet. Such a nice surprise at this time of year.

This afternoon I met with one of the care team at my mother's care home for a routine review. ( It feels to me  like a role reversal of a school parents evening!). 
Fortunately, we agreed she is thriving there, and they are willing to put up with her occasional angry outbursts because most of the time she enthusiastically joins in  with the activities on offer, and accepts their help when needed. 
She was on good form to day when I caught up with her- she'd been on another trip to the pub for lunch this week. 
It's such a relief knowing she's doing so well now.
