The Caen Hill flight will be closed for a few weeks whilst maintenance to some locks is carried out.

I imagine it will cost a colossal amount of money. Perhaps time to up our monthly direct debit to the Canal & River Trust. 

All the dog bins and waste bins have been removed, along the tow paths, in an effort to cut costs.

Sometimes, depending on Hetty's bowel movements, my route is determined by the location of the nearest council bin. This will often mean walking into the nearby village of Rowde. (Probably too much information!)
