The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Monday 13th January 2025)

I mentioned I've been reading The Grateful Dead Reader, which covered the entire lifespan of the band with contemporary writings from 1965 to 1996. I have a small collection of their output in various formats including MP3s, MDs and CDs so I thought I'd share the bulk of my Grateful Dead CDs.

Solar panels, scaffolding and outbuilding hi-fi issues continue.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Grateful Dead - Wake up Little Susie/Black Peter (recorded live, Fillmore East, New York NY, 13 February 1970)
This acoustic performance was included on Bear's Choice, my most recently acquired and played Dead record. It was engineered by Owsley 'The Bear' Stanley. Their cover of the Everly Brothers hit was followed by an early Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter composition. It had yet to appear on 1970 album Workingman's Dead.
