My Clarice Cliff
The best laid plans…..
Dennis texted to say he’d left Ipswich and should arrive in his 2CV about 2pm.
The thaw has started at last but nevertheless it was dank and raw cold when I walked up to the physio. (My shoulder had been sore on and off for 19 days and the discomfort was creeping into my neck). It was quite painful while he worked on it so I hope it is effective.
When I was walking home at 11 I saw I had a couple of missed calls from Dennis. His car was leaking oil so he had decided to limp home. When I called him back he said he was stopped for a bacon roll and had no idea where he was. Both Mr C and I find Dennis’s lack of interest in where he is mystifying. It’s easy to see where you are on the A1!!! Mr C is disappointed but it’s quite nice to have some unexpected down time.
I’m reading a very strange but fascinating book called Lady into Fox by David Garnett, one of the Bloomsbury group.
I think the Christmas present (the blip) from #2 daughter might be a honey pot minus its lid.
