THE bridge!

Jenny and I had a good evening together and put paid to a bottle of champagne. There were tears but good laughs too.

This morning was bright and sunny so we went to Culross for a wander. All the NT properties were closed but it was enjoyable to walk in the pretty village with its buildings from 1605 and earlier.

Jenny wanted to treat me to lunch and had booked a very nice “wee restaurant” in North Queensferry. She had lobster and I had cod and samphire which was delicious. Then we had a wander down to the foot of the Forth Bridge where we got a good view across to the other two bridges, blipped yesterday. The waiter told us how we could walk to reach the point of entry to walk the road bridge but we’ll save that for another day as Jenny was tired. We drove home, passing Gordon Brown’s house.
