Just a small glass of wine while my tea was cooking.

It was dark this morning and raining when I went out to feed the birds. A robin was first in today . . . a surprise because last year the robins were always waiting. So far this winter it’s been the blackbirds. Later I spotted a goldfinch. It was lucky that the greenfinches had vacated the feeder.

I took the car out around midday to check it started and give the battery another boost. I knew which lay-by I was going to pull into for a blip and drove straight past it! By the time I got to another the rain was much heavier and I wasn’t suitably dressed. I decided it wasn’t worth getting drenched for an outdoor blip.
