litl hikes

By litl

That was a week of ups and downs. The snow (nice to look at), the ice (bad), grocery delivery (good planning), finding my lost key (great relief), the boiler breaking (panic), response from heating company (excellent).

Today I was ready to drive to Windermere, mainly to give the car a run after a week of sitting outside and also to buy milk and bananas.

The car wouldn’t start. Flat battery. I decided it would be easier and quicker to get the long extension lead and battery charger out than the call the AA. My amazing neighbour connected the clips to the right bits of battery and we left it for an hour or so until S knocked and suggested I try it. It started easily so I went for a drive, first to Bowness then back and straight through Ambleside to Grasmere.

I wanted to find a parking space where I could get a blip while leaving the engine running. Hammarbank viewpoint at Windermere was the best I could see. Too much cloud to give a view today.
