It was rather wet during Bertie’s morning walk but much improved in the afternoon. In between these two walks I spent several hours trying to help a friend sort out the mess that BT had made of her telephone and broadband account over the past three months. It made me realise that big providers do not give enough care to explaining changes in provision in simple, everyday language, especially to folk who are overwhelmed by the changes in technology over the past couple of decades. I will soon need to negotiate a new telecommunications contract myself and I’m not looking forward to it.
