Solid

I put the washing in, left the dishes to drain and set off on a three mile walk.   Up to the village and the uphill part which I don’t enjoy and then into the open and onto the ridge.  There was no-one up there and the only birds I saw were crows, one skylark and a solitary fieldfare.

I did come across Amanda and Victoria walking their dogs in the opposite direction so stopped for a quick natter.

On my way back through the estate I called in at my friends to check all was ok as they are away and found a huge bunch of flowers, a wrapped jigsaw and gorgeous teddy bear on their doorstep.  I staggered home with them and found there was a card.  It should have been delivered to a house in Bedford, not our village, so this afternoon I drove into town and dropped it on their doorstep with a short note to say it had been delivered to the wrong place.  I’ve no idea how long it had been at my friends because I haven’t been there since Friday.

This is a metal post with a hole in it for today’s challenge of solid/hard.
