Garden Primroses

Another very usable day enabled me to wash traces of the Devon lanes off the car body, and separately to spray the Apple trees with a tar wash in the hope of eradicating Aphid  eggs laid in crevices within the bark.  Left unchecked they will hatch in early Summer and attack the leaves and seriously reduce the yield of fruit. Primroses are beginning to take over the garden so I will be digging up large numbers before they flower and spread even more seed.
