A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Balls

Fairly early start (for a holiday day) as M is off to France (or Dunstable depending on how much fuel the budget airline decide to fill up with) so we thought we'd combine dropping him off at Stansted with a walk along the River Stort Sculpture Trail - a place that had come up in conversation re an Essex blipmeet.

Not been to Harlow before. Not overly sure I want to again.

The combination of brochure map and road signage proved to be a complete and utter failure. Don't think I've ever done as many U-turns in one day before.

Eventually, down a practically-unmarked entrance we found it.

Anyway, we went for a shortish, hot, and somewhat uneventful walk. The sculptures were 'ok' but nothing that got me especially excited. I did like a saw carved into a wooden sculpture, but it didn't make a particularly good photo.

Hiding indoors now away from the searing heat, which means doing some of the paperwork stuff that needs doing.

In the evening we're off to Oxford for a one-night stay to visit 'A', leaving EasyPudding behind as he's off to Malvern tomorrow. Malvern was where I did some of my postgrad research; nice place, has hills.
