Water Tower Grade II listed building

This is was built in circa 1869 as a water tower with a tank of 160,000 gallon capacity.

Built by The Bournemouth and District Water Company

Massive tower of round-arched brickwork, in alternating courses of reddish-brown stretchers and blue headers.
Round-arched entrance. 3 main storeys: round-headed in triplets on ground and 1st floors, in quartets on 2nd - all blind to north and south. Double dentil cornices above ground and 1st floors, triple dentil main cornice with far-projecting.

As it houses a number of flats, and has businesses nearby, it is impossible to photograph without various vehicles and dustbins spoiling the scene.
