Envy

A good day. I got a couple of hours gardening done this morning, pruning the roses and tidying up, that didn’t get done yesterday.

The oven cleaner chap arrived and did a brilliant job. The oven is less than two years old and wasn’t that bad, but looked noticeably better when he had finished. I kept out of the way as I’d started to sneeze and sniffle, felt dreadful. 

I hadn’t been able to give treats to the neighbourhood cat yesterday so made a point of doing the afternoon walk today. He was so pleased to see me and came running up the road to lead me back to the low wall he uses as a feeding station. It’s outside a house that he doesn’t live in, but is the home of another cat. It watches from the window with envy when we arrive.
