The River Dee in Llangollen

It was a beautiful sunny day but a sharp frost this morning, I hadn't expected to have to de-ice the car again.

After checking on F I decided to go to Llangollen for a walk along the river.  I parked and went onto the path by the river but it was white with frost and slippery as was the mud and wet leaves there.  I teetered along very carefully!

Lots of shops and cafes were closed, even the steam railway, they don't get so many visitors in winter.  This is the view from the bridge over the river with the railway on the right. I also had a little walk along the canal before heading home.

There were roadworks with traffic lights a little way out of the town.  I waited ages in the queue with nothing moving in any direction except for cars turning around. Eventually I did the same, I went back and crossed the river and returned home the longer way.

It was still nice to have time out in the sun though.
