Sir Henry Walford Davies

This morning I went to Wilsons in Oswestry where some of us from the bowling group meet up for coffee and a good chat. We were there for two hours putting the world to rights.

Afterwards I went to the library. A few weeks ago I returned four books but they haven't shown up on the system. I searched the shelves and found two but the other two are still missing and haven't shown up as borrowed by anyone else. I hope that I don't have to buy new ones!

While I was out I took a photo of the plaque I'm memory of Sir Henry Walford Davies which is on the wall at Christ Church where he was organist and chorister. He was born in Oswestry and became Master of the King's Music. He was an organist and composer including the hymn God be in my head. He also worked for the BBC and started Radio Three.
