Sunshine all day

Clear blue sky and sunshine which lasted all day. The washing dried outside. I did a bit of tidying in the garden.
Mum has been spending all her days upstairs (since Christmas) and I explain to her how too much time in bed is not a good thing for elderly people and she takes it on board but then I know she will forget what I've said - there is always the hope she might remember some of it.  Conversations with Mum are not as happy as regards content now she is losing her memory yet some things she does retain well. I find it sad that she doesn't remember I bought her a present at Christmas or wished her Happy New Year. Still, conversations are definitely a blessing since she is 96. She obviously does enjoy seeing me and talking to me.
