Taking photos

I don't use my camera any more and have only used the phone camera for quite some time. The type of photos I want come out fine on that....plenty good enough for me anyway.
However, the last couple of nights I have been trying to take some of the night sky as we could see 3 planets (well we think we could) and many stars. However, the view is from outside our back door where we have a security light there so I have been trying to take photos from inside the door but as close as possible that I could get to outside without triggering the security light. This has been fun and nigh on impossible! I couldn't get a photo with the 3 planets on without triggering the light which ruins the photo anyway - if they were the three of the 6 planets that aligned some now, we're no astronomers! They were much brighter and looked bigger than any of the stars we spotted. 
I considered walking down the garden away from the security light but realised that as far as I'd have to go I would then trigger another security light we have. Repeat the same scenario for the side of our house!
Anyway, we found the sky very interesting and were never going to get good photos using the phone camera anyway so I won't lose any sleep over it.
I didn't think I'd post any of the photos on here as not good at all but I included one as an extra and the main photo is an accidental one taken while fiddling with my phone!
We went shopping at Tesco and found it extremely quiet.
I don't know where the day has gone as I've not done much. Had a nap in the afternoon due to not much sleep last night.
