Nicky and her Nikon

Tommy's birthday

It was another busy day - but next week will be quiet so I am not complaining!

It is lovely to have Tommy home with us so we could wish him happy birthday in person this morning. He and Gavin were both working from home today.

I had to change bedding and wash sheets today, I also did some more baking - I made a cake for pudding for tomorrow's birthday lunch. It is a pistachio cake with ground almonds, and orange juice and zest in it so it is very moist. Being gluten free it is quite dense/squidgy but also light. I also made two curries for lunch tomorrow, one lamb curry and one veggie curry, so that is my most of my meal prepared. I will make the side dishes to accompany the curries tomorrow.

I also finished the minutes from last night's camera club committee meeting. It's a fairly large pack (20 pages) with minutes, financial statements and programme notes so we do cover everything properly. We had two new committee members join us last night and they said they never realised how much we do to make the club work so efficiently!

Tommy did not want to go out for his birthday - we have the family coming to lunch tomorrow, but tonight he requested we stay in and have a sushi dinner. We are able to order sushi from Little Fish and they deliver to our local deli, which is an easy walk to go pick it up. It is excellent sushi.

Inca is arriving tonight so she will be here for Tommy's birthday supper at home. Here is Tommy about to eat one of his cupcakes, a throw back to this from nine years ago!

I have just finished all the ironing and now will sit down and look at some journals...
