Pen-y-wern
A misty cold morning spent in the orchard pruning apple trees. By the time the sun broke through it was nearly three in the afternoon. We somewhat foolishly set off on a new six mile walk from Chapel Lawn, skirting around Hodre Hill on a lovely balcony path and climbing up towards Obley. Halfway up the hill the view west was of Clun Hill and Pen-y-Wern (despite the name it is, just, in England) bathed in golden light from the setting sun. By the time we got into Brineddin Wood and the road to Chapel Lawn it was almost dark.
