From the pines
This yellow Pine Warbler spent a few minutes at the bird feeder today. The suet cake was not reachable for the short beaks of the tiny birds so Jerry put a stick behind it to jam it next to the wire cage. The littles love the stick for perching! We are going to make a better perching feeder on the platform for the future.
I got the recipe for the broccoli cornbread from my friend who brought it for our lunch Friday. So easy.
Here it is!
10oz, frozen chopped broccoli, thawed (but get the moisture off with a paper towel)
4 eggs
3/4 cup cottage cheese
3 chopped green onion
3/4 cup melted butter
2 boxes of Jiffy corn bread mix (a US product)
Preheat oven 375. Grease a sheet cake pan
Mix all the ingredients well and pour in pan
Bake for 30 minutes.
It is yummy!!
