His first crumble!
V wanted me to post a picture of the first crumble he’s ever made so here it is! He has been talking about doing the Nigel Slater Apple and Blueberry crumble for weeks now and last night was the night. It is a simple but delicious recipe and felt like a treaty end to dinner.
Stone cold grey day. Pilates first thing, picked up the papers home for coffee. And then I went into action plan, picking up cash for Mum driving over to Hambledon with it, back to buy ingredients for dinner tomorrow, dropped them off at home before going back in to get my nails done. I like a good flow of a day where everything gets done ergonomically. Slightly busted the rhythm by finishing the shopping early..
I did a long put off job by vacuum packing the bedding into container bags (I know, thrilling) but it was good to have the Living Room cleaned up so that the new, or rather re-located carpet gets a chance to shine.
Watched A Real Pain from Bafta View (such a kerfuffle to get it to play on the telly but we did it). It’s a terrific film, short, simple and spare but carries so much character and meaning. Recommend
Loaded up the kindle with a lot of books that came through on 99p deals. I have found a brilliant new app/website called mymind which is good for quick saving of things and am going to load it up with books to read and books read. Because the trouble with a kindle is though I love reading on it you don’t get a visual trigger to recall what you have read.
