The cruel sea

Chilly walk on the beach this morning. There are two dead seals there with the last few days, both headless. It happens that way sometimes, as the head isn't a strongly attached part in terms of being rolled about by the waves, but seems a bit bizarre when there are two. They'll be scavenged over the next week or two and return to nature.
