Lost in the fog

Foggy, still and quiet in the woods this morning. Mostly just Siof, me and the birdsong. Late in our walk we heard someone calling, a man was trying to find his lurcher, it had strayed off from him and his wife. They were house sitters he said, they normally live in a camper van, but house sit in the winter to 'get in out of the cold' as he put it.  Siof and I have met the missing dog a few times with the man's wife, he had also strayed from them previously but wears a GPS tracker. They had to get in touch with the dog's owners, on holiday in Sri Lanka, who fired up their laptop and were able to tell them from South Asia where in Castlefreke Woods he was... Hope it worked again this time!
