sun gets my attention each and
every day here...

I was up at 6 in the dark. It was a rather chilly 43 F/ 6 C when I stepped outside. I was off for an early morning grocery shop. 

Emerging from the grocery store I caught the pre-dawn light over the Gila Mountains. I love this time of morning when there is a beautiful glow on the horizon. 

I heard an owl calling in the dark last evening after dinner. I know that great horned owls like this desert region. I didn't go out looking for it. I just enjoyed it's call. 

I'm in for the day. My cranky feet are still complaining about the workout they got this last week. I feel like I'm holding my breath for tomorrow's big event. The great orange pumpkin rises again!
