Way out West

Went for a very fine stravaig on a very fine day in January.  Starting point was the Stromness Academy.  We walked up Hillside Road then along some old peat tracks and across moorland to Feolquoy.  It must be the tidiest Farm in Orkney.   Half way round we went along to surprise Andy and ask for a coffee.  We hadn’t been to his place for about 10 years.  He wasn’t one bit surprised.  This evening my s-i-l is coming for a meal and I have to help prepare.  My recipe book is coming out of retirement.
