Surgery

After a morning fitting to the day of rest, the afternoon was less so, carrying out some surgery to a tree that grows quite close.to the back of the house.

I used to hoike up and trim it's extremities every year or so to keep it in check but have neglected to do so.over half a decade and it was showing. So with a ladder and a newish electric pole saw to make things a little easier, things commenced.

Being along the fence line with next door, some thought had to be given to where branches would fall but we got it all done by mid afternoon. I just hope it recovers in a year or so because as well as being pleasing to look at when the foliage is out, it also provides some nice shade.
