Couch potatoes...
Quite an easy day just pottering and getting organised for Ele and Kenny coming for dinner and staying over. Such a shame Agnes and Adrian couldn't join us. Still better Adrian be ill this weekend as next weekend they are off to London to see Peter Kay, then the following weekend the four of us as off to a lovely cottage in Forfar for a week. Not a million miles away but far enough to offer new pastures to explore.
Ele and Kenny arrived just after 7pm. Gave them the grand tour of the Team'a new kitchen. They were very impressed and out of the two wall colours left out of all the colour testers, their preferred choice was the Blood Orange. Billy the painter is calling us on Monday and I am pretty sure that's the colour we will go with. I do love the Raspberry Diva but think it will be too dark.
This was their first time seeing our new sofas in the garden room too. They like them very much and found them very comfortable. Thought an action shot of them relaxing after dinner would be an appropriate blip. They're still on a high from welcoming new granddaughter Orla and we were laughing at Esme''s question to her mum and dad as they were preparing to bring Orla home from hospital, which was "Do we have to pay the hospital for her?" :-))))
There's six years between Esme and Orla, similar gap between Ele and David (7 years) . I hope Esme and Orla's sibling relationship leads to the same deep friendship between Ele and David.
A lovely evening with lots of chat and laughter and reminiscing about our days are young parents. We were literally crying with laughter at some points :-))
