Blossom
I think January is getting to me! It’s dreary dank and COLD. To make it worse the Rayburn went on the blink again, spluttering, stopping and starting and smelling of oil. It heats our water and central heating. The local chap came up to have a look (he’d been a few days ago when alerted to the spluttering and cleaned it). Now he’s “intrigued”. It could be several things, and he has some old spare parts from other old Rayburns, but he has another job booked tomorrow. Luckily we have an open fire in the living room so there’s heat from that.
I drove over to see Lynne this morning. She is doing so well but it will take a while. She’s not able to concentrate on much reading yet but has learned most of her lines for the play she’s going to be performing in.
I finished my decorative darning and Mr C and I worked out the best time to book the ferry to Amsterdam for our September van trip.
#45 was bad enough. We have evaded the news of #47 and his golden age promises.
