Party time
Today the lucky kids got to stay home when it was -10 degrees this morning. The teachers had a professional day with some training and some work in the classroom. We did have lunch catered by a local restaurant and that was yummy. Then, since we didn't have a Christmas party we had our New Year's party. Mainly we broke into teams and went to 6 stations and played games. All were for tickets to go in a raffle for prizes that had been donated by downtown businesses. There were some good gifts. I ended up with a bicycle water bottle and and gift cert to rent a bike for a day. I'm hoping it will be a mountain bike and then I can go ride on some of the Pilot Hill trails.
This game was to scoop as many cottonballs up with a spatula while blindfolded. You had 1 minute. Then the cottonballs were counted at the end. The games were pretty funny.
Tomorrow the temps should rise a bit into the 20s. I think our high for today was 3 degrees but the wind makes it feel about -20... brrr
